We have opportunities for volunteers who have a background or experience in environmental conservation, education,  social media, marketing,  communication, or science and want to be a part of the OSOF initiative.

We are currently looking for coordinators, projects leads, and general volunteers who would like to contribute their skills in the following volunteer roles. There is also opportunities to develop roles based on your skill sets, so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Leadership roles

A challenging leadership role designed to provide experience in building and coordinating teams, and project management. Location flexible in any of our areas of operation. Support roles also available.

We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate or lead events in our main areas of operation, or in areas where interested volunteers are based. Location flexible.

A challenging leadership role for creative types to develop strategic partnerships between artists and our organisation to contribute to the organisation’s unique brand. Location flexible.

If you know your way around social media and content management, and prefer to work from the comfort of your home, we have opportunities to contribute to our brand and campaign pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

Calling all scientists with a passion for the environment! We are looking for experts in the areas of Climate change, Marine protected areas, Fisheries, and Pollution to provide expert advise on our work in policy submissions, and education.

Do you have experience in mentorship and love to enable people to achieve their full potential?

We want you to contribute operational advice and mentorship support to Regional Coordinators in planning and implementing successful community engagement and outreach events.

General volunteers

General volunteers are needed to assist in running OSOF projects, campaigns, admin, events, and much more. The more hands on deck the better, so if you have the time and interest, we want to hear from you!

There are ways to help us without being directly involved in our projects and campaigns. Your support as an OSOF ambassador can help us maximise our reach and increase the awareness of our organisation and projects
